I’ve been creating photo books, and helping others with their photos for over 20 years.
I’ve always enjoyed taking photos. I remember the days where I would drop off my film at the drug store to be developed, and eagerly await the prints. Picking up the photos and immediately flipping through and reliving those memories. I was very good about putting my photos in photo albums, later redoing those albums and getting my photos into photo safe albums (scrapbooks).
When digital photos became mainstream, I did OK keeping them organized using desktop organizing software – Historian
I started teaching others how to organize their digital photos, just like I had been with printed photos. My system was basic. upload to computer and enjoy. But it was easy to forget to print the photos, and if I didn’t back up my computer, my photos were at risk of being lost…and I did have a hard-drive crash once. That was enough to scare me into doing something better.
But when cell phones started coming with cameras it all fell apart. I became overwhelmed, just like many of you are today.
I had photos everywhere…too many places, duplicates and duds and I couldn’t keep up.
There had to be a better way!
I tried many different apps and cloud storage systems. I was enticed by convenience and low cost but ended up sacrificing privacy, security and permanence. Several times, the apps or companies I had trusted with my photos changed their terms and services and left me scrambling. I even lost photos. I found I was doing the same work over and over again. I didn’t have time for that.
There had to be a better way!
I wanted to enjoy my photos easily!
I wanted to store my full resolution photos not compressed files.
I wanted to easily share photos with family and friends.
I wanted to organize my photos easily using albums and tags (metadata).
I didn’t want to pay a monthly fee. What if i wanted to stop paying….then what?
I searched for 3 years to find the perfect solution. Actually, I found the perfect solution 1.5 years earlier but resisted. I wasted time and money to continue my search before I finally tried the cloud storage system I use and teach today. It is AMAZING. I wish I had started earlier.
Over the next few years I didn’t just use the cloud storage, I developed a workflow that was EASY to maintain. I’m a busy This is what I teach today.
I’m excited and passionate to teach others this method so you can enjoy your photos.
I can’t wait to help you organizing your photos so you can enjoy your priceless memories.
