My story begins when I couldn't find a local scanning service to preserve my family's photos and memorabilia. I did not want to risk losing our irreplaceable memories in the mail. I considered buying a flatbed scanner and doing it myself, but I had neither the time nor the expertise. My goal was to create a beautiful collection to share with family and to have peace of mind that everything is safely backed up and protected from loss or damage. I quickly realized I needed expert help if I wanted it done right.
I began researching professional photo-scanning equipment and methods. I got excited about the possibilities. I thought that if others had the same desire to preserve their collections but didn't want to mail them, I could start my own business providing high-quality scans to my local community. I found that many people I knew wanted just that.
From there, I invested in professional photo-scanning equipment and training. I joined The Photo Managers (formerly APPO) and discovered best practices for creating an incredible legacy. I launched my business in 2013, have scanned thousands of photos, and helped clients experience the joy of having a well-preserved, organized, and shareable collection. Irreplaceable memories and family stories are the most important gift you can give yourself and future generations. And I feel privileged to be a part of creating that gift for all my clients!
