I grew up surrounded by love and nestled between three siblings. A deep affinity for family stories was instilled in me from a very young age. In 1979, the Iranian revolution uprooted my family, and we were unable to bring most of our belongings to the U.S. when we moved here. Luckily my parents did manage to bring all our photo albums and memorabilia. The only memories that remain from my childhood are through these family photos and the stories my family members share. My love of photography has grown over the years and I discovered one of my superpowers when witnessing the joy in my loved one’s faces while flipping through the photo albums I’d made for them. Backed by 20 years of technical expertise as an executive creative producer in advertising for luxury brands such as Ritz Carlton, Apple, and Jaguar/Land Rover, Picturli was born from my love of people, my keen eye for photography, and my unquenched desire for storytelling.
